I definitely had one of my most productive days. I woke up early to get an arm bike workout before I went to physical therapy. I was able to arm bike for a long interval before I needed to sit down for a break, my best of the summer!! I did really well in pt. However, most of the session was spent on getting range of motion measurements of my legs. The reason why we needed the measurements was because I was asked to participate in a demo of a new product at Mayo Clinic on Monday the 23rd, and they needed to know certain ROM before I can participate. The product is called Ekso which is a wearable bionic suit that enables individuals with lower body weakness to stand up and walk over ground naturally (eksobionics.com). I’m really excited about trying it out!
After PT, I went straight to occupational therapy for a workout. I worked a lot on shoulder strengthening! I have been focusing on my shoulders so I can reach higher which will help me be able to drive. After three really good workouts, I had to work on homework unfortunately. I’m definitely ready to be done with school!
Another great day of therapy and one day closer to graduation. In order to reach your ultimate goal you have to break it down one day at a time. Keep working!
